Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about AI Agent Skill HUB, how it works, and how to use it.

How are skills collected?

We aggregate skills from public sources like GitHub repositories, community forums, and direct submissions. Our collection service parses markdown files, specifically looking for SKILL.md files and prompt templates designed for AI agents.

What is a SKILL.md file?

A SKILL.md file is a markdown document that contains instructions, context, and specific commands for an AI agent to execute. It acts as a set of rules and capabilities that an agent like Claude Code or Cursor can load to perform specialized tasks.

How are skill pages prepared?

When a new skill is added to the directory, we process its source files and documentation to organize the page structure, target platforms, and practical metadata that make discovery easier.

How are submissions reviewed?

Submitted skills go through a review process that checks structure, categorization, and publish readiness. We also perform manual spot checks to keep the directory useful and safe to browse.

What are the rate limits?

For our public MVP API, we do not currently enforce strict rate limits. However, we ask that you use the API responsibly. If you plan to make high-volume requests, please contact us.

What are the reliability expectations?

This project is currently in an MVP stage. While we strive for high uptime, you may occasionally experience downtime during updates or maintenance. The data provided is gathered from third-party sources and may change.
