agent-teams-core-constraint
Sub-skill of agent-teams: Core Constraint.
Best use case
agent-teams-core-constraint is best used when you need a repeatable AI agent workflow instead of a one-off prompt.
Sub-skill of agent-teams: Core Constraint.
Teams using agent-teams-core-constraint should expect a more consistent output, faster repeated execution, less prompt rewriting.
When to use this skill
- You want a reusable workflow that can be run more than once with consistent structure.
When not to use this skill
- You only need a quick one-off answer and do not need a reusable workflow.

# Core Constraint ## Core Constraint ``` MAX_TEAMMATES = 10 (set in .Codex/settings.json — git-tracked) Recommended sweet spot: 2–3 teammates for this workspace's workload ``` Default to **fewer agents**, not more. Spawn only as many as strictly needed. Coordination overhead grows quadratically; benefits only appear when tasks are truly parallel and long-running. `MAX_TEAMMATES=10` is a ceiling, not a target. The realistic effective range for workspace-hub engineering work is **2–3 teammates**. Raising it above that adds token cost with diminishing returns given the predominantly sequential solver-pipeline nature of the work.
